PRE-SETTLEMENT CONSULTATION
GCG can provide pre-settlement consultation at a moment’s notice. Creating an administrative plan prior to settlement can help ensure the seamless implementation of the settlement, and can save clients time and money. Moreover, with more attorneys on staff than any of our competitors, including former class action practitioners, GCG has the expertise to assist with many different aspects of the litigation and settlement process – as well as the design of an administration program tailored to the needs of each case.

NOTICING AND COMMUNICATION
GCG’s nationally recognized notice team can create customized, cost-effective programs to contact class members through the use of traditional print media and/or cutting-edge electronic media, whether locally or internationally, as appropriate for each case.

CLAIMS PROCESSING
To address increasing complexity and heightened court scrutiny in claims processing, GCG’s software engineers have designed programs to permit secure claim intake both through the mail and via the internet; in addition, our proprietary programs ensure accurate and efficient processing and award calculations.

DATA MANAGEMENT
Using our state-of-the-art technology, GCG experts build case databases that help in managing every detail of settlements and allow us to provide timely, accurate reporting to our clients.

WEBSITE DESIGN
Our graphics team can design a website tailored specifically for each settlement we administer. Websites, which post important forms and case information, can include multi-lingual translations of all information, as well as online claim filing capabilities.

CONTACT CENTER
GCG’s case-specific contact centers can handle call volumes of all sizes, whether employing a toll-free phone number in one country or many, in one language or in many. Our automated, interactive messaging capabilities provide a cost-effective way to provide specific information to class members, and our operators are thoroughly trained in each case they handle.

DISBURSEMENT
Accurate award calculations, payments made electronically around the globe in local currencies, and meticulous review by our quality control team are key components of GCG’s disbursement capabilities.

TAX REPORTING
GCG provides tax-related services as needed, including filing income tax returns for class action settlements and performing Form 1099 and W-2 reporting to the IRS, state governments and claimants.

 

PRE-FILING CONSULTATION
Prior to a bankruptcy filing, GCG works with clients, their counsel and financial advisors to develop a comprehensive noticing and administration program that can help ensure a seamless process in the days leading to the case filing and at other critical junctures in a bankruptcy case. With many former bankruptcy practitioners on staff, GCG is uniquely positioned to provide meaningful consultation on many aspects of a bankruptcy filing, including providing comprehensive administrative services.

NOTICING
GCG’s proprietary software and processes ensure the efficient creation of a creditor matrix and a database to track all noticing, with meticulous attention by our team of lawyers to ensure that each order, motion or other filing is sent timely to all required parties, regardless of location or method of delivery. To accommodate clients' noticing needs and demanding deadlines, we have the latest FedEx pick-up deadline in the industry, 12:30 a.m. (Central time), for most overnight deliveries. Further, with offices on the west coast, we take advantage of time zone differences, and are available whenever necessary to ensure that our clients' needs are met on time.

PUBLICATION AND MEDIA OUTREACH
GCG's in-house legal noticing specialists can design customized, cost-effective noticing plans, including placement of legal notices in local, national or international publications; our team can also design comprehensive multi-media campaigns, including cutting-edge ads strategically placed on industry websites, as needed.

CLAIMS PROCESSING
Our proprietary programs, backed by our expert quality assurance team, ensure accurate and efficient claim intake and processing.

SCHEDULE AND SOFA PREPARATION
GCG’s software engineers have developed state-of-the art programs to ensure that the preparation of Schedules and Statements of Financial Affairs (SOFAs) are created accurately and within demanding deadlines. Our dedicated Schedules team works closely with counsel and the debtors personnel and financial advisors to manage the process of capturing all required information, storing the data securely and categorizing it accurately.

BALLOTING AND SOLICITATION
GCG’s balloting and solicitation work has been acclaimed by courts as impressive. Using proprietary software and processes, GCG's stand-alone solicitation team masters any solicitation, regardless of the size of the voting classes and the number of debtor entities. GCG's team is expert at handling solicitations for holders of publicly-held securities, both equity and debt, whether traded in the US or on foreign exchanges. With a unique proprietary program that allows clients to view balloting results in real-time, GCG is the clear leader in the industry.

DISBURSEMENT
All disbursements are reviewed by our quality control team to ensure that all payments are made timely and accurately, regardless of the size of the claimant base.
