As Vice President and Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives, Shandarese Garr has been an undeniable force in developing GCG's Securities Division by utilizing her superior management skills, personal responsiveness to clients, exceptional accountability, and high degree of professionalism. Her responsibilities have included operations, establishing and refining procedures, securing new business and customer relations.

Shandarese Garr began her career at GCG in 1994. In 1998, Ms. Garr was promoted to Director of the Securities Division, where she was responsible for all aspects of the administration. She became the Assistant Vice President of Securities Operation in 2000, Vice President of Securities Operation in April 2004, and Vice President of East Coast Operation in July of 2007, where she managed a staff of over 100 employees. In this capacity, her responsibilities were increased when the Securities and Consumer Operations Units were combined into one New York Operations Group that handles the administration of all GCG East Coast class action cases.

Under Ms. Garr's leadership, GCG has administered over 150 securities class action settlements which often involve multimillion dollar settlements that require stringent operational attention. Ms. Garr has orchestrated the massive administration of litigations such as "Royal Ahold, Nortel Networks Corp., Global Crossings, WorldCom, Lucent, Enron, DaimlerChrysler, Oxford Health Plans, and Dollar General" which hold the distinction of being among the largest securities settlements of all time.

In August 2007, Ms. Garr was promoted to Vice President and Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives. In her new role, she will continue to address some of the most important issues facing GCG, including increasing competition, optimization of operating capacity, and enhanced growth productivity.

Ms. Garr's new role encompasses all facets of GCG's U.S. case operation. She is responsible for making sure GCG is using best practices within all offices, managing budgets, building new and better methodologies, and ensuring that GCG continues to provide its clients with the best service in the most cost-effective manner.

Ms. Garr has attended C.W. Post Campus, Long Island University. She is a longstanding member of the National Association of Securities and Commercial Law Attorneys (NASCAT), as well as the American Management Association (AMA). Ms. Garr was featured in Black Enterprise Magazine's "On The Move" column in February 2005 and Crawford Currents "Associate Spotlight" column in January 2008.
