Lisa Buckser-Schulz
Vice President & Deputy General Counsel
Ms. Buckser-Schulz is Vice President & Deputy General Counsel. Prior to joining GCG, Ms. Buckser-Schulz was General Counsel in the Class Action Administration division at a class action and litigation support services firm, where she was responsible for addressing the financial, reporting and legal issues that arise during the course of the settlement administration process. Prior to that, she was Of Counsel to Labaton Sucharow LLP where she focused primarily on the prosecution of securities class actions on behalf of public pension funds. Ms. Buckser-Schulz spent six years prosecuting various securities and consumer class actions at Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP. During that time, she oversaw the settlements of numerous class action cases. She began her legal career as a litigator at the law firm of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP.
Ms. Buckser-Schulz received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Rutgers College in 1986. She graduated magna cum laude from Fordham University School of Law in February 1993 where she was a member of the Law Review, the Order of the Coif and was on the Dean's List. Ms. Buckser-Schulz also received American Jurisprudence Awards in Criminal Law and Insurance Law. Ms. Buckser-Schulz is a member of the American Bar Association, where she previously served as Co-Chair of the Accounting Issues Subcommittee of the Securities Litigation Committee of the Litigation Section.
Ms. Buckser-Schulz worked as an auditor upon graduating from college in 1986 and obtained her CPA license in 1988. Ms. Buckser-Schulz has performed numerous audits and from 1989 until her entry into the legal profession, served as the Chief Financial Officer of a New York-based hedge fund.
