Ms. Baumgarten joined GCG in August 2009 as a Bankruptcy Consultant. Her wide range of responsibilities includes providing ongoing client counsel, supervising client projects, and assisting with new business efforts.
Prior to joining GCG, Ms. Baumgarten was an associate at Blank Rome LLP, where she was a member of both the Business Restructuring and Bankruptcy and Financial Services groups. She represented creditors, their committees and other parties of interest in various bankruptcy cases and represented senior and subordinate secured lenders in financial transactions. Ms. Baumgarten also held a leadership role in the firm's Israel Initiative and was the firm's New York Co-Chair of the Women's Forum Steering Committee. Ms. Baumgarten was an associate at Healy and Baillie LLP (which merged with Blank Rome LLP in October 2006), where she actively litigated bankruptcy, maritime and other commercial cases as well as managed a variety of general corporate matters.
Ms. Baumgarten received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and completed her undergraduate work at New York University where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Ms. Baumgarten is a member of the Federal Bar Council and the American Bar Association.
