Emily Gottlieb
Assistant Vice President, Midwest Operations

Ms. Gottlieb is the Assistant Vice President of Midwest Operations. In this role, she manages GCG’s Chicago office and is responsible for oversight of the bankruptcy cases that are administered in that office. Some of these recent cases include In re R.H. Donnelley, Inc., In re Neenah Enterprises, Inc. and In re Life Fund 5.1, LLC. Further, Ms. Gottlieb is a primary author of GCG’s CLE program and is a frequent presenter at law firms across the country.

Prior to joining GCG, Ms. Gottlieb was a senior associate in the Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy Group at DLA Piper US LLP, where she represented debtors, creditors and creditors’ committees in Chapter 11 cases. Before practicing at DLA Piper, Ms. Gottlieb worked as an associate in the Corporate Restructuring Group of Drinker Biddle Gardner Carton (formerly Gardner, Carton & Douglas LLP). Ms. Gottlieb is a member of the ABI, the TMA and the Chicago Bar Association. In addition, she is active in IWIRC and served as the Chair of the IWIRC Chicago Network in 2009.

Ms. Gottlieb is a Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan. She received her J.D. magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was an Executive Editor for the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal.
