Angela Ferrante Angela Ferrante is an Assistant Vice President of GCG’s Bankruptcy Operations and is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of all GCG’s bankruptcy matters. Ms. Ferrante has led the administration of many major cases including Motors Liquidation Company (f/k/a General Motors Corp), Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc., Orleans Homebuilders, Inc. and TerreStar Networks, Inc. Prior to joining GCG in January 2007, Ms. Ferrante was a Senior Associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where she represented official and unofficial committees of unsecured creditors in a number of high-profile cases, including Calphine Corporation, ATA Holdings Corp., Grupo TMM S.A., Horizon PCS and Magellan Health Services, Inc. Prior to that, Ms. Ferrante was an Associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where she represented large Chapter 11 debtors and creditors. In addition, Ms. Ferrante was a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas B. Donovan at the United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of California. A recipient of the Founder's Day Award (top 10 percent of her class) and a member of the Dean's Leadership Circle, Ms. Ferrante completed her undergraduate work at New York University where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English and American Literature. She received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she was a Notes and Comments Editor at the Brooklyn Journal of International Law and a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. Ms. Ferrante is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation. |
